Elijah decided to enjoy this marvelous day for once. The sun may not have been out but it certainly was a beautiful day nonetheless. The air was warmed up some and just the slightest breeze went by. Leaves that dared to remain on branches danced like butterflies before a few would give up and fall. It seemed that things were finally looking up for the mutt though he still wasn't totally sure on where his paws could be leading him. Not physically but metaphorically speaking. He had met with a beautiful she-dog, Mariah, and had it in well with a pack it seemed. Maybe he could join their ranks. Or perhaps he could stay the path of a loner and wander.
The dog stepped up to the pond, looking down at his reflection curiously. His dark, long face stared back with those light brown yes matched his stare. Did having a place in this world make him something different? He sat down, letting his eyes drift away from the reflection and towards the scenery in contemplation. He wanted to help and tying down somewhere didn't benefit that cause. But just thinking of Mariah had his heart skipping a beat in his chest. He was disgruntled by the situation. He worried about joining anywhere as he had only known a loners life after the death of his mother and master.
"Give me a sign that Genesis is where I belong,"[/color] he whispered, staring towards the sky now. Surely some being, some spirit or some entity in any way, fate even, could guide him on the right track. Eli just wanted to know where it was that he belonged. Was that too much to ask for?
