----Joining
Joining Genocide's pack is simple. You can post here with the following form to auto-join as a subordinate, slave or omega, or post in the pack lands and just role play it out. Higher positions must be RPed out, but are easy to get.
Character name:
Desired Rank:
Thread: (if you wish to rp it out. this is optional unless you are asking for beta or alpha.)
If pups become available, you may also join the pack by adopting one. The pack prefers wolves, coyotes, foxes, and halfdogs over dogs, but dogs who 'repent' their domestic ways can still be accepted. Also, dogs are always accepted as slaves.
-------News
Membercount: 13
Genocide is the new alpha female of the land. She has taken Cerberus as her mate, though she's made it clear she won't fight to protect him from other suitors. Beta for both genders has been taken, but Kazimir still has not returned from his spy mission, and Leanansidhe is temporary, making a deal for 1 year only along with her servants.
Lacey, the old alpha female, left the pack to join West Side.
Claim Thread by Genocide.
------Ranks
Leader: Held by Genocide
Leading Female - ALPHA: The queen, and you better believe it. The real one in charge, at least for this pack. She is absolutely ruthless, although neutral to the affairs of other packs, being she loathes them all equally. Genocide. Same as above.
Leading Male / Leader's Mate and Consort - ALPHA: In wolf packs, it is less common for males to fight to the death over rank than it is in females. Why this is so is uncertain. However, alphas are almost always mates, and in the rare occasions they are not, they are generally relatives. Currently held by Cerberus.
Second Leading Female - BETA &
Second Leading Male - BETA:
Betas do not have to be mates of each other, and one is usually slightly more dominant than the other. Beta position, like alpha, may be challenged for. These are the ones who inherit alpha usually if one of the alphas dies, although if they cannot find a mate and produce pups it is common for them to step down to someone who can. Though, they may also ask someone else to produce pups for them, since alphas can take and raise anyone's pups as their own.
Held by Kazimir, Leanansidhe*
Subordinate - WARRIOR, The soldier rank. They are expected to patrol the territory for danger, though all are expected to do this, they more than most.
Held by legionnaire
Subordinate - HEALER, The healer subordinate rank. Fairly self-explanatory. Those of this rank may be entrusted to watch over the pups when not healing.
Subordinate - HUNTER: Omegas that have gained full acceptance into the pack become subordinates. Those who show no talents as healers or desire to be warriors become hunters instead. They are to bring food back to the pack and the pups.
Held by Romania, Mab*, Circe*, Kane?
Youth - PUPS: Yearling and below of age. Pups have no real ranking in the pack, although they are above omegas and may eat before them at kills.
Held by Xenocide, Deimos
OMEGA: The lowliest rank; it would be the 'citizen' rank in other packs. It is not uncommon for omegas to be wolves signalling their intent to join the pack, and undergoing a 'trial phase' as they scavenge off the pack's kills and are tolerated by the pack until they prove themselves. They are beneath pups in rank.
Held by Malice, Aqrab (until she gains a higher rank)
SLAVE:
Similar to omegas, some may be force claimed into the pack; particularly intruders or lost pups. Also may occur to those who fall far enough from favor or commit a terrible crime. These are treated as servants and will have a very difficult time rising above even omega, though those force claimed as pups can usually become omegas, particularly if they fight an omega to earn the rank. The main difference between them and omegas is that they are often not trusted to pup-sit, and that they are not allowed to leave the pack.
Held by Angel.
* marked may be temporary.
------Laws and Policy
They are a highly traditional pack, and behave much like any natural wolf pack would. As such, they are very territorial, and very rank-oriented. 90% of all wolf fatalities are caused by wolf on wolf disputes near the pack border in real life.
I. All will obey the alpha female. Any male desiring alpha must be her mate and defeat her previous one.
II. Outsiders above the age of three who trespass are to be killed, unless desired as mate by one of our own. Those younger may be accepted into the pack despite the trespass if they show the proper submission, or if they are babies in which case they will be forcibly claimed. Rarely, an exception may be made to this rule if the pack is low on members or the food supply is very high and more hunters are needed.
Outsiders who trespass may be force-claimed into the pack by any member above omega.
III. Human loving is unacceptable. While it is not required to hate dogs or kill them, and dogs may rarely be accepted into the pack, any who eat human trash or willingly wear a collar will be put to death. All dogs who wish to join must renounce humans and any past as a pet.
IV. All youths belong to the alphas and betas. Permission must be gotten to raise your own young, and any had without permission will be stolen and raised as the alpha's or beta's own.
V. Spoils and kills are to be shared in order of rank. Alphas always eat first, betas second. Then the rest of the pack may join in.
VI. Rape and murder of pack mates is unacceptable, though brutally enforcing dominance is permitted and of course the alphas may kill as they like. Those who break these rules may find themselves murdered by said alphas, or by the pack warriors.
