(This is a basic activity check in the pack, but no pressure. I just thought it might be nice to do a whole pack thread together actually doing pack things, even if it's just greeting the new ones.)
Genocide had, overly possessively, hidden the pups away from the rest of the pack after their birth, refusing to let them out of the burrow until they could walk, or to let anyone even see them. And of course demanding tribute for the little darlings, as was the alpha's right and tradition, at least until they grew old enough to start eating at kills. The alpha was surprisingly tender towards them, showing as much affection as she had towards anything. More, in fact.
It was with almost secretive air and anticipation that she led them out into the air, tense, scanning for danger around the den. The white wolf had to admit she really just couldn't stand not hunting anymore. It was time to actually let some of her packmates, and the father especially, see them and maaayybe be allowed to touch them and take care of them. If nothing else, she was eager for the opportunity to hunt, even if it meant dumping pups on a sitter she'd normally eat for looking at them cross eyed.
Raising her head, she howled.

As cerberus walked threw his territory he was hunting something special for his mate. It was a fawn that strayed alittle to far from its mother. As cerberus kicked of with speed the fawn couldnt even escape as it tried to run and slipped. As cerberus jaws clamped down on the animal a loud cry was released but silenced as his jaws broke the back as he walked a path his ears caught on to his mates urgent howl.
As he sprented threw the woods he could see his mate as he slowed down. As he walked up to her a low yelp came from behind her as he looked at her he placed the fawn in front of her cause he knew she would be hungry. As he looked past her he saw two little fluff balls moving around in the den as he watched them he looked over towards genocide." So dear what might there names be cause they look great with your love and care".

[bg=white][atrb=border,0,true] Genocide wagged her tail, eying the fawn with obvious interest, and moved past her mate to eat ravenously. They were still drinking milk, though also eating meat, and it was quickly exhausting eating enough for three. The female wolf felt like she was starving all the time, to be honest, even when she had plenty of food. Although, she thought she'd actually put on a little weight despite living in the wild. The pack was full of good hunters now.
When she finished gobbling a whole chunk of meat whole without chewing, blood on her snout, she turned to look at the pups, slightly tense to see Cerberus so close to them, even knowing it was ridiculous to think her own mate might hurt them. "The boys' names are Xenocide, after my deceased brother, and Deimos."
She could have sworn she'd told him before. Whoops. Must have slipped her mind while demanding meat. Turning to the little ones she chewed and spat chunks at their feet for them to gobble up. It was disgusting, sure, but giving them soft already-masticated meat was the quickest way to get them weaned and up and running.

Romania stretched from his resting place, eyes shifting to the light. He yawned, shook out his fur and set his paws into a brisk trot. Genocide had howled, for what he didn't know..and probably wouldn't really care about. He raised his head, looking up at the sky before he settling his nose close to the ground, absorbing what scents he could. The Alpha male, female...and a couple unknown. Romania let out a worried growl. Why were there unknown other's here...new members.....but..if so they would have smelled slightly different, less familiar.
Romania slowed, seeing the sight. The two dark wolves, and the pups. He stopped completely. Lowering his head and tail, ears clinging to his skull he greeted his superiors with a slight glance before gluing his eyes to the dirt he walked on. He remembered now. Those had to be the pups she had been talking about when he had joined....More jaws to feed, more things for him to do. Less time to sleep...and no more nightmares from his past.

As he looked at the bundles of fur he saw his mate tense up for a second" easy dear I want hurt our pups". As he walked back some she walked forward with a mouth full of chewed meat. Something about the pups brought out a nicer side of him. As he watched her feed them his ears turned towards some paw steps as he looked back it was another member of the pack with the nod of his head cerberus welcomed the wolf.
As he looked back at his pups he spoke towards romania with a calm voice" well my good friend would you like to take a closer look at the new members". With that cerberus moved towards the entrance of the den in order to allow romania closer without genocide tearing him to pieces. As he looked one mkre time at them he looked romania way" well since you are our packs hunter lets go on a hunt cause we have extra mouths to feed now and I would also like to get to know you better". As he walked towards his mate he licked her cheek and walked towards romania and a path that would lead them towards a hunting area near by.

She managed to resist tearing out his throat, forcing down her frayed nerves and making herself simply look away while her pups were approached, mentally chanting 'see, a-okay, a-okay'. It didn't work too well, but her tense instinctive side was beginning to click to the fact that this was the pup's father, not a male aiming to eat them so he could take over the alpha male's place in the pack and father his own pups. It was just a little slow, the faint scent of the city always drifting from the south happening to put her on constant alert for man. She knew that mankind was dying, disappearing from the area, but the dogs were not yet gone. That wouldn't do.
"Our pack is steadily growing-- ah, Romania, good to see you. Meet our new pack members, Xenocide and Deimos." She spotted the hunter approaching, and listened to the two speak. Genocide stood up to join said hunt-- then scowled when she realized she still had to sit tight and watch the pups, at least until another member appeared who she could foster babysitting duties. Such a thought made her have to resist giving an evil chuckle, or, well, a sigh of frustration.
A part of her felt a moment of concern. Their potential new beta still hadn't shown up. Was it possible he had been killed, spying on those packs? She hoped not. It would only prove they were even more untrustworthy and barbaric than she'd thought. The sooner all the dogs, excepting slaves, were exterminated the better.
