Deliah
Dainty white paws hit the sand softly, barely leaving a mark in the grainy tawny colored material. Her salmon colored tounge lolled out of her red and white muzzle and her blue merel tail wagged slowly behind her. Deliah was in pure bliss, the beach was her favorite part of any land that she lived in. The warm spring sun hit her back relentlessly but the long, thick coat that covered her lithe frame was cooled off by the cool spring breeze that rolled off of the ocean. Her warm brown eyes were focused on the shipwreck that lay ahead of her, that was her destination for the day and would probably wind up being the shelter she used for the night...or the next few nights. At the moment, Dee was sure that if she ran across another dog she would be pleasant and happy. Friendly even. Unless of course the other canine had taken over the ship that she had her heart set on. Deliah paused on her quest to the ship to sit down in the sand and let the refreshingly salty water crash down on her white paws, she tilited her blue and red head so she could look up at the blue of the sky. It was so pretty, so simple, then a bird flew in her sight line and distracted her from the simpleness of everything. Just like life...everything is simple. Then something or someone has to come along an complicate it.

Nemesis' paws lightly touched the sand, leaving perfect impressions behind. His ebony and ivory coat gleamed in the warm sunlight. Both ears were pricked upright, acoustics cupping any faint noise that might come to them. His ice blue eyes were locked a head, watching a few birds prance around in the water.
His legs moved easily, muscles rippling beneath his shepherd pelt. His nose detected a female nearby. Smirking, he followed the scent.
He came upon the vixen shortly. Stopping a respectable distance from her, he planted his rump down, forelegs keeping his upper body erect as he regarded her.
"Why hello there doll. I'm Nemesis. What might your name be?" he inquired of her curiously cocking his head to the side and watching her anxiously.
A coy smirk came across his maw. Some might call him charming, and a rake, but that was him. He loved to flirt, regardless if the female had a mate or not. If he saw something he wanted, he would go and get it. No worries or not even a conscience.
"What's a lovely thing like you doing out here today?" he pressed on softly. Both ears were turned toward her.

Deliah
The sound of the waves crashing, the feeling of the water washing away at her weary paws, and the warmth of the spring sun on her face was putting the collie to sleep. The seagulls cawed occasionally and the waves would crash closer to her but it didn't affect her at all, Deliah was so at home at the beach that a whale could wash up on shore and she would be utterly fascinated by it, not worried in the slightest. Deliah had been half asleep when the dog was walking towards her and the wind was against her. He could smell her probably a mile away and she wouldn't have noticed him till he was on top of her if he hadn't spoken. His deep voice woke the merle female from her doze. She turned her soft brown eyes in his direction and her tulip ears perked up, catching is every word. Taking him in discretely she agreed with herself that the brute in front of her was definately a looker, but with the way he was talking to her it was clear he knew he was attractive. "Hey honey. I'm Deliah. Pleasure to meet you." The collie spoke with a honey sweet southern drawl that dragged slightly at the end of her sentence, sounding more like yew then you. She closed her eyes against the gentle warmth of the setting sun, soaking up the last few rays that would grace her today. Deliah had no mate, and even if she did..he wasn't here at the moment and what was that saying? If the cat was away the mice would play? A smirk slid over her narrow muzzle as she opend her eyes. "Ah, I'm just out here soaking up the sun. Enjoying the peacefulness. Yourself?" The female pricked her ears back in his direction not wanting to miss anything he said. She could be manipulative, possibly even rude at times, but Deliah felt that manners were a necessity when making a first impression.
