.:Scene.:
A wicked grin split the beast’s maw; sharp ivory fangs gleaming in the moonlight. A twin set of aqua-green eyes peered out from the shadows and a light mist fogged before his panting jaws. The dog wore the shadows around him like a second skin, a skin he easily peeled as he swiftly made his way across the moonlight bathed terra to a set of more shadows. A sinful laugh left his maw as he faded into the background, insidious gaze watching carefully as a mutt made its way by his hiding spot. He didn’t even tense as the unknown dog passed by his abysmally dark shadows; there was no need to, the hound knew no one would spot him if he had no wish for them too.
Once the other dog was gone the hound shook out his body and started for his destination again; lethally quiet in the dead of the night. The large warehouse loomed before him in no time and another toothy smirk divided his jowls, the lithe hound noiselessly slinking past the few dosing guards and into the open doors of the building. What poor security, how shameful. A velvet laugh of malice rumbled in the Ibizan’s chest, the canine slowly making his way to the bottom of a long set of stairs that he could only assume led to the security room. “Bullet.” He knew his voice was to quiet for said dog to hear, but he liked the way the name rolled on his tongue.
That was why he was here, to meet the famed Alpha of the West Side. He had heard many things about the dog that lived up in that security room, enough things to make the shady hound wish to meet said canine; maybe even offer his services…..The skinny Ibizan sat on his haunches; staring up at a camera with mischievous oceanic eyes that gleamed dangerously in what little moonlight shown into the mostly empty warehouse. He was prepared to wait for the legendary Bullet to awaken and notice him, a dog that obviously didn’t belong in this pack let alone anywhere NEAR this close to the alpha’s sleeping place. It was a first-class demonstration of the wicked hound’s abilities.

There was only one dog suspicious enough and paranoid enough to think a shadow might be an enemy in disguise, or that enemies might be sneaking in at any moment. Ever since he'd been assigned to shadow Bullet in body guard duty, he'd taken that role quite seriously, while also looking for opportunities to spy on other packs. So far, he'd seen none and, honestly, no reason. The other packs were all small compared to the West pack, as far as his knowledge extended. Although, that knowledge could use some work. He hadn't been out of the pack territory much, concerned as he had been with getting his first job right.
Barely able to sleep, Paranoid was a class one insomniac, the only sleep he ever got being light at best. He constantly twitched, trying, even when exhausted, to stay awake. He was security after all. Still, after a long night of nothing at all happening, Paranoid began to grow bored and calm in spite of himself, and dozed for a few moments.
Abruptly, he woke, fur on end. In his imagination, thousands of enemies could have crawled in and attacked for his act of incompetence. All the other guards were sleeping, and he could see nothing wrong, but Paranoid never trusted his eyes. Though he'd done a search perhaps fifty times that night, he readied to do so again. Only, this time, there was actually something to find. And not far from where Paranoid had been sleeping too, considering he'd been assigned to guard Bullet and nothing else.
Stay in the shadows, Paranoid, and leap out to defend me if my enemies attack me.
Extremely literal, it was for that reason alone that Paranoid did not attack then and there on seeing the stranger sitting so close to Bullet's favorite sleeping place. The twitchy dog, for once, actually went completely still. One might think he'd finally gone completely to sound sleep from whatever nightmares he'd been having. Or, if they were as paranoid as Paranoid, they'd stare into the murky darkness and realize after a moment that his ears were focused on them, and his eyes were open. Waiting to see if he was needed. Trying to judge the other's intentions.

my actions , "my words" , my thoughts Damon sighed, wandering around hopelessly. The West side was okay, buy sometimes it could be boring. Just, plain boring. He sometimes wished there was a female to play around with, and was tired of Tempest. He yawned, and decided to try and find Bullet. Damon quietly padded towards a large building, his ears alert forwards. Damon was the social guy, and usually didn't have Aldo Len gettit into trouble or finding someone to play with. Not today. He soon found Paranoid, hiding in the brush, watching something. Damon cocked his head. What is Paranoid doing? What is he watching?
|
Damon wondered, crawling up upon the male. Quietly he snuck back, narrowing his eyes. Damon crawled closer and closer, trying to eg a better view. Soon, he was up close next to Paranoid. He stayed quiet, then spoke. "What are you doing?" Damon asked in a whisper, hopin he wouldn't scare off whatever. Damon watched his body language carefully, maybe he would get a better view or idea of what they were up against. [/blockquote]

Bullet barked loud and said "Bow down my fellow West Siders, it is Scene. Scene, my boy this is Damon and Paranoid. Ha I smell your scent Paranoid!" He chuckled and tried to see where Paranoid was in the shadows but turned back around to Scene. "Hello, Scene. I want you to prove yourself so please do spy on any territory you wish but I want some valid information about the pack." He looked him in the eye and made a serious face. He wanted to know what Scene was made off. Scene had to get information that ment something to Bullet or else Bullet will keep him as prisoner or on heavy watch. He wanted this dog to be a valuable member of his pack and do his job right. Lacey is sneaky and swift but not as big as Scene. Scene was big and seemed loyal but with the Tempest experience he shouldn't just decide what he was and wasn't.

I got Bats Gats Straps so let's start a war! I'll eat you alive like a carnivore!
Spiders crawling up his back; the all too familiar sensation that meant he was being watched. The hound gave nothing away as his eyes quickly flashed around the shadowy room, passing over the silhouette that was just a shade too black. Bingo. The male looked away as if nothing had been noticed, though his large ear twitched slightly so he could keep tabs on the dog he knew lay in the dark. ‘And who might this little guard be, hmmm? Bullets personal eyes and ears?’ the thought caused the Ibizan to smirk. He would have to meet this hiding dog, see just how talented he really was. A low whisper reached her ears and caused the hound to smile even wider. Two dogs now, eh? Perhaps security wasn’t a pathetic as he had first assumed……
The lithe hound straightened as he heard a booming voice, Scene’s ocean blue-green eyes flicking up to meet the sight of Bullet. The other dog was tall and strong, an obvious alpha figure; something that caused Scene to respect the brute. He attentively listened to the larger dog, his posture relaxing until he was practically lounging in his sitting position. He caught the name Paranoid and Damon and smirked evilly; were these the little sneaks that lay hidden in the shadows? Scene turned his piercing gaze exactly onto the figure that he assumed to be Paranoid, showing that he had known the dog was there the whole time. Scene may not have been the most mistrustful dog around, but he was always wary of the knife in the back.
Scene continued to stare at the shadowy dog in the dark, even as Bullet spoke to him, gaze unwavering. It was only after a few silent seconds that he smiled deviously and looked back to Bullet, thin whip-like tail wagging in greeting. “Bullet, I’m so honored to FINALLY meet you” Scene spoke in a silky voice that bordered on sarcasm and complete disregard for authority. It was no surprise though; everyone who knew Scene knew he was a cocky bastard. He stood and stretched his muscles, various bones cracking up his spine. Any pack I want?” A complete personality change seemed to overtake the dog, his eyes becoming less snarky and more friendly. “Awesome."

Bullet looked back at Scene and said "Don't play with my boy! I'll have you on the ground in a second! Don't try to be sarcastic." He said sitting down in front of Scene and grinning. The dog was tall and slim but looked powerful. He remembered when he got in his first fight with a slim dog and lost to him but it was just a friendly rough house. Bullet had no close friends that he wrestled with anymore. He was a leader and dad and it was his role to act mature, especially with dogs who still play around with Bullet. He took a deep breath and looked at Damon and Paranoid who should have there guard down at this moment because Bullet is just talking to Scene in a respectful manly way.

Paranoid scowled at Damon when the other came to his hiding place, though it couldn't be seen in the dark. And he'd been so patiently still too! Damn. Perhaps the cover was not ruined quite yet, but if the dog was like anything Paranoid was, it might as well be, something like a small noise never failing to catch his suspicious attentions. "Be quiet and don't move. There is an intruder, but they probably already heard you." Although, he saw their searching eyes hadn't caught note of them yet. Good.
Then, of course, it was all rendered moot with Bullet barking to stand down. Paranoid hadn't been planning to attack, not just yet anyway, but he understood it was the okay to not hide anymore. He watched with amusement as his own leader failed to spot him. It was nice being the stealthy one in the pack, something he could take pride in. But when he saw the intruder-- Scene? pass eyes over his location, Paranoid couldn't help but still anyway, unblinking, barely breathing, to all the world still appearing like he was sleeping. Still hoping to preserve surprise, if the conversation turned long and he was forgotten about. And perhaps given the chance to shift to a more strategic position. But his eyes matched the eyes of the other, and he knew it was for nought.
They knew. Somehow, they'd known he was there and awake. Reluctantly, the silent shadow rose, his movement creeping and swaying like the shadow of a bush, natural and usually below notice. Of course, it didn't really work when he was being directly stared at. The half coyote gazed warily, always listening, never saying a word, before lowering his head into the dim light, which did not quite reach his eyes and upper face, illuminating his brindle muzzle only. That was all the introduction the stoic coydog would give himself.

Bullet looked at them and said "Stop screwing around both of you! He said it really loud. Damon was bigger but Bullet was bulkier and he listened to whatever Bullet said. He was the most respectful dog Bullet knew and he loved him like a brother or a close friend. Paranoid was smaller and a bulky dog as well.
Bullet Perked his ears up and looked at Scene. He took a deep breath and snarled at the other two who had been going back and forth like little kids. Bullet sighed and stepped forward to scene. "Sometimes we make mistakes. And Scene are you Infected or not?" He said smiling and licking his coat of the dust that he had collected from the boxes.

I will show no shame, I live and die for this And if I come off soft then chew on this, Are you scared?!?!
Though Bullet’s reprimand was harsh it caused Scene to smile widely, showing his gleaming razor sharp fangs. It was always a pleasure to have a dog above him that commanded respect and submission; a dog that could rein in Scene’s more……wild side. His reckless side, the split personality that got him into deep trouble. He bowed his head in respect to the larger Doberman, glacier blue eyes watching him closely.
The softest of sound caused him to slip out of his respectful position in an instant. Quick as a viper he was turned and facing the two shadows which were now stirring. His piercing gaze stayed fixed on the smaller of the two shadows, on the dog called Paranoid. Briefly his rainy eyes flickered to the largest dog, Damon, but they simply turned away. Scene was more curious in the other dog, the one that was obviously a spy like himself. A brindled muzzle came into the light but that was the extent of the other canines greeting and Scene’s frosty eyes narrowed.
No matter, he would get the information he wanted later. Scene smiled at the shadow clad dog briefly before turning back to Bullet, ears perked at his words. “I am infected….” His voice was soft like velvet but beneath was a tone as frigid as gun metal. He stood in a fluid motion and shook out his body, his bones protruding from beneath his taught skin. His breed was well known for their extremely lithe body. “You say I may spy on any pack, but I think I may be better able to prove myself if I had the chance to obtain something you truly thought as valuable…..If I may be so bold as to ask for something more specific?” His tone was submissive but any could still tell there was a rebellious hiss to it. Scene couldn’t help it, he was a bad-mouthing punk with an attitude problem.

Paranoid couldn't help but flick his ears back at the reprimand. He wasn't screwing around, this was serious business. Then again, he thought everything was serious business. His packmates seemed annoyed with him--screwing around and 'I'm not blowing your cover' quote quote, so he shifted to a more apologetic and submissive posture, despite doubting whether it could be seen or not. He had his private doubts as to the truthfulness of their statements, but made no movement of disagreement.
Then again, he didn't trip over himself in agreement either, his eyes fixed entirely on the intruder. So, they'd be working for Bullet? And this Scene, they were infected, something that would surely earn bonus points for being said regardless of truth. The other spy was also asking, fishing for information. Fishing to learn what they thought of as valuable to obtain.
What if this Scene was actually spying on them?, Paranoid thought, narrowing his eyes. He wished he could suggest to Bullet not to give up too much information, to not trust the spy, but to do such would be both to alert the other spy to his thinking and to put himself under scrutiny. He was after all a spy himself. Even if the lower ranked pack mates didn't know about it. He liked for it to stay that way. He didn't want someone with poor acting skills to mess up a job while he was hanging out with a different pack's members, even if it meant getting ruffed up by his own team-- it was easy enough to claim he'd once been part of their pack, it was harder to claim he'd once been part of their pack and had been a spy for them.

Bullet speaks Bullet thinks Bullet's does Bullet grinned at the new recruit and how obedient he was. He howled with his pack for the new recruit and trotted around Scene. He rubbed his West Side scent on him and walked back to the boxes and looked at his pack members. "Okay so your first duty then is to travel around the East Side pack and see what the East Side pack wants or any information they hold, I want it all to be in the West Sides head as well. Also I have 4 pups so mind your manners and don't be mean if one of them passes you." He said with a stern voice and his voice dead serious.
He made people mind his puppies because they were only 6 months old and beginning training as tough West Side dogs. They would stay in West Side until they begin to get older and when Bullet dies his dogs will fight for the Alpha spot or Bullet might hand it to Damon or Paranoid or one of his trusted dogs.

Bullet's words were very strong and dominant, quite exactly thge opposite of Scene's. He was very unpredictable, and Damon disliked that. He reminded him of that snooty little demon-eyed Tempest, who was currently off leash somewhere. Damon watched him closely, and noticed that Paranoid was quite interested as well. Bullet could some times not notice everything, making almost everything up for battle.
Bullet made Scene welcome, making Damon very tense and feeling let down.. Paranoid seemed to be the only one who was on Damon's track. The pups?! He was going overboard! Scene was a nasty, unpredictable, rude wolf! Snarling, Damon made his temper and thoughts clear. "Bullet, alpha, I object. We don't know his background, maybe another pack has bad records-he could be a spy. And your pups?? Damon snarled.

If you could be the corpse then I could be the killer If I could be the devil, you could be the sinner If you could be the drugs then I could be the dealer Now everything you've said is like music to my ears!
Scene stretched like a feline, back stretching out as his joints popped and his muscles flexed. A wide yawn split his maw and his pink tongue lolled from his gaping jaws, resting on dagger teeth that gleamed with saliva. Once more his frosty eyes found their way to Paranoid and he stopped his luxurious stretch, opting to stand tall and lower his head slightly; gaze cold and calculating. This was a dog to watch out for, a dog that matched Scene in skill and had even more paranoia them him….It would be fun to see what his limits were…fun to see which buttons did what when pushed…..
But first….Scene turned to Bullet and flicked his ears in the Doberman’s direction, prepared to imprint his words to his brain. He would impress his Alpha and prove his worth. Not to mention show off a bit. A wicked grin cracked his maw and spiteful happiness filled his gaze. Bullet spoke his words and a sadistic gleam came to his eyes. “I’ll begin as soon as we’re finished Bullet, if you have nothing else for me to do beforehand….” The Ibizan shook out his lithe body and stared the Doberman right in the eye, “As for your pups…I’ll gladly keep my distance”. Scene didn’t do well with pups, hence why he stayed away from the little demons at all costs.
A loud snarl erupted in the room and Scene whirled around like a typhoon to face the largest dog of the group. He could clearly see the mistrust, the near hate in the other’s eyes. Excellent. Scene faced the other head on and grinned crookedly, looking like a demented monster. “Nobody knows my background dog” he teased happily, looking at Paranoid briefly, “Even that detective over there couldn’t sniff out my past….it’s long been buried six feet under” Scene laughed like he knew an inside joke the others didn’t. “As for being a spy?” the lethal hound turned and placed himself by Bullet’s side. “I keep my word when it’s given. I’ve given it to Bullet because I respect his strength and power, and I will uphold my end until I die or he decides my services are no longer needed…..Deceit isn't in the cards we've been dealt.” Scene kept a smile on his maw the entire time but his words were like a whip; harsh and eager to draw blood.

Bullet narrowed his eyes and said "Damon is right, don't lay one monster like eye on my kids. And I trust you will do well and if you don't I will have to attack you and leave you. But you sound okay." He said grinning and barking at his other 2 dogs to stand guard. He nodded at his trusty Damon and trotted off into the night.
He needed to get food for his pack. He hunted, looking for food for his pack and pups and he was quite hungry himself from hiring a new recruit. It was tough knowing whether the dog could be trusted or not and Tempest had let him down so he would not go so easy on Scene. Although he still had to give them food so they could eat and get some power into their system.
