SURLY & STOIC
Kaptain is not a dog that warms up to others easily, and he doesn’t offer many openings. He’s generally a surly old bastard, with very little patience for rambunctious teenagers and over-eager pups. He’s calm and careful, takes his time deciding what to do and how to do it. He does not enjoy making mistakes. He’s not one to approach someone just for the purpose of company or idle conversation – he makes allies when he needs them, and confronts others when it is necessary. He’s quite capable of being polite, if rather stand-offish, but he won’t put up with willy-nilly kidlets who are incapable of respecting authority.

SELF LOATHING
There are a lot of things Kaptain has done in his life that he regrets, the biggest of which is being himself. He has a great deal of vices and, and for a dog who borders on perfectionism, these faults are things he can’t forgive. He can be somewhat careless with his own well-being because of this, but would never, ever be reckless enough to put his master, his allies, or his loved-ones in danger because of it.

STEADFAST (OR STUBBORN)
Rather set in his ways, Kaptain likes things exactly the way they are: nice, neat, and orderly. Heaven forbid if someone stirred up a little chaos on his life. He is an exceptionally stubborn fellow, and will work himself to the brink of exhaustion rather than admit defeat or rely on someone else. His unwillingness to accept help increases tenfold when he’s sick or injured. It’s a real wonder he hasn’t gotten himself killed yet. But his steadfastness gives him a sense of honor and duty: work until the job is done, no matter what that job might be. He doesn’t leave thing half finished, and he puts his all into everything that he does.

LOYAL & SELF-SACRIFICING
While he does not make friends easily, once Kaptain has given his loyalty to someone, he is a friend and ally for life. He will never turn his back on someone he trusts and appreciates. He does not ‘skimp out’ when favors are needed and hard work must be done. He will be at your side, thick or thin, until he’s no longer needed. He is a fiercely protective dog and has no qualms with exacting revenge against those who harm his family and friends. For those few who are true impacts on his life, Kaptain would do everything in his power to keep content and safe, including risking his own life for their well-being.

SADISTIC & PRAGMATIC
Kaptain may be a loyal and faithful companion, but he is by no means an honorable one. He will do whatever it takes to get the job done or protect his loved ones, at any cost. He’s extremely opportunistic, and if he sees a weakness, he’ take it. He does not mind hurting others. Kaptain is not afraid to get his hands dirty, and isn’t above doing it for the right ‘payout’, either. He takes a sadistic satisfaction in winning, at whatever the cost.
