Welcome to the year 3042, home of the Neo-Victorian age brought about by the Great Bombings that occurred nearly 1000 years ago and almost led to the extinction of mankind.
The time of democracy and kings and queens is all but forgotten, and now nobles rule, controlling everything they have with an iron fist, and the City is no exception.
Surrounded by a triangular wall, three houses take up those spaces. Goldsbloom occupies the left most corner, and holds all of the City's judicial system in check, their decisions made through gold and bitter bargaining. Silverhollow takes the right corner, their sector almost horrifyingly neat. A place of science and intrigue, where knowing anything about everything is everything no matter the method used to get there. Whitestag occupies the top corner. Prim, proper, they're a cold lot- calculating and manipulating everything into what they want in order to make sure the public sees what they want- a cheery house whose primary goal is to protect the people. It is they who 'protect' the city, keeping it safe from everything, including the changes brought about by the Great Bombing a millennium prior.
And there were changes.
First, the metal men popped up, men and women with cables for muscles and wires for veins. Few know how they're born, and fewer how they're made. Distrusted by many, they are seen as little more than common criminals.
The hybrids popped up next. Human beings mutated with animal qualities. Thought to be of lesser intellect, they were taken in as pets of the rich and famous, and that practice still continues now.
In the central sector of the City, the Hybrid Humane Society (HHS) funded by the Whitestag House attempts to keep cruelty to hybrids to a minimum, while taking in Feral hybrids from the outskirts along the walls of the City in hopes of finding them homes.
Its a pity they don't realize the hybrids are as smart as they are, and that they're getting angry.
Very angry.
The metal men are instigating things, the Ferals are getting ready to revolt and the Houses are fighting. The City is falling.
Only one question remains...
