Selena
At first sight, you notice that Selena is different from the rest. Selena is a very unique dog and likes to go against the usual flow of things and be independent in her choices, actions, and thoughts. She is unlike the other German Shepherds who threaten anyone who sets paw in their path. She is a conversationalist and can talk for hours. She's a good listener (most of the time...) and is always up for a good game. While she can have her playful and friendly side, she can also be a bit shy. She has been through many trials in her life and can have some issues with bonding trust with people upon first contact. After you get to know Selena, she blossoms into a very interesting young canine and will spend many hours adventuring with a companion. She has a free and adventurous spirit and loves a good thrill- as long as she has someone at her side to join her in her grand feats.

Selena was born on the bustleing streets of Iasi, Romania. She lived happyly with her family and friends until she was a few months old. Sabina was exploring a few new streets when a dirty, bad smelling, grey car came rambling up the road. Selena, unfortunately, was looking in the wrong direction. The car hit her head on. Her leg was completely maimed and distorted. Later that day she was found by a rescue group comeing over from the United States. They picked her up and took her with them back to the U.S. The group had to amputate her sevearly damaged leg. At the shelter she recovered, but failed their standards for adoption. (She never liked humans anyway.) They threw her back onto the streets, much to her delight. Life on the streets was tough. But Selena didn't mind. She loved her freedom and fought to keep it. She only met one dog she liked. She spent all her time with him. To her he was like an older brother. They were living peacefully until a meeting with the neighborhood dog catcher. Her friend was captured while she escaped. To this day, Selena lives on the streets wondering what happened to her family back home, and her friend here in the United States.
