It was rather gloomy, after the sun had kissed the horizon goodbye. It was almost hard to tell when night arrived, the sky was a dark blue color, dotted with little white, bright spots. She always wondered what those things were. However, this did not stop Twiggy from her ongoing travels through this strange, new land she had wandered into. It was a rather large forest nestled away from society, one with only one road that lead into the dark place. Now, her paws continued to pad through the woodland, making a crisp sound as she crushed dead leaves with each step. As she marched on, not exactly sure which direction would lead to some possible shelter. Holding her head high, chestnut eyes peered through the flurries of flying leaves. Only trees. 'Man, it's quiet around here.' She thought, peering about the landscape once more. Twiggy wasn't the type to be antisocial, but then again she wasn't the type to prance around for a group of dogs. But my, could there be any type of life in this dense land with nothing but trees? The woods around here seemed to form an almost darkened cloak around her. Though she enjoyed the forest's darkness, it was rather soothing. Rolling her brown shoulders in a nonchalant shrug, Twiggy continued on her tread.

shamrock.!The young dog had only woken an hour before. He never woke before the sun set, or at least, not too long before. He'd been nocturnal since he was seven months old, no need to stop now. It kept one out of unwanted trouble, and just made things a lot simpler. He allowed his paws to carry him to the forest. Jack had always taught him if you could catch prey rather than eating out of a garbage can, you would be healthier. As it was, he wasn't hurting for food, so he could take a gamble tonight. As he set foot in the forest, he felt at home. The shadows played on his back as he sniffed the ground for any signs of life. A grin played on his face when the scent of deer entered his nostrils. Deer were few and far between. He followed the trail carefully, and soon came upon what he was hunting. A mother deer and her baby. The mother, he couldn't take her on his own, but the baby. He swept his tail over the ground softly as he waited for the right moment to strike.
He inched forward.. Careful not to startle them. But as luck would have it, the wind shifted and the mother deer caught wind of him. She took off at a run, and in a bit of desperation, he chased after her. He tore through the forest, but soon lost sight of them. Deer were crafty, and fast. He slowed to a trot, panting heavily. He would have to go for smaller prey. As he started sniffing, though, the scent of a female dog played around in his nostrils. He followed her scent. Shamrock was lonely, he craved companionship since losing his adoptive father. He came out of the bush behind her and made a soft noise to catch her attention without frightening her, hopefully.
"Hey there."

Twiggy stopped in her tracks, ears pricked backwards as she heard a rustle behind her, it could have been anything, a rabbit carelessly sniffing around, a panther stalking her, or even just a plain wind. Whatever it was, dangerous or harmless, her curiosity urged her to turn around. Before she even moved, a voice came out of the creature behind her, 'dog, that's definitely a dog. And a male at that.' She thought to herself, with that she turned around at a normal place, making sure not to look to worried, she wanted the dog to know that she wasn't afraid of whatever he would do. When she was facing him, she raised an eyebrow, 'Hm, that's different.' She thought, she had never seen a dog with such a unique coat coloring, she had seen a dalmatian earlier, but she didn't have a multi-colored coat like this dog. She almost back away, confused, but she didn't want to look stupid infront of the male, so she sat down. "Hello." She answered, "Who are you?" Asking cautiously, no matter what he looked like he could have been anyone, hopefully not a mean dog, or just one that appears to random females, looking for fun. Many dogs had approached her before, and she shamefully fell for one's tricks, and left alone with a litter that died of the Parvo virus. She wasn't about to make the same mistake with this male, handsome or not.
