Lacey's one eye cracked open as she listened to her pups starting to wake up, she got up and shook herself off. Looking down at Bullet who was by the bed eating she yawned and hopped off the bed, and trotted over to Bullet. "Morning love." She greeted cheerfully, licking his ear and joining in on what he was eating. It was only a matter of time before the pups awoke, whimpering for food, she rolled her eyes and smiled warmly. Now that the pups had turned 3 months old, they had no interest at all in milk, they'd rather have fresh juicy meat that was the first thing that filled their little black noses right then.
-Kalani-
Kalani's little blue eyes slowly opened as she heard Ghost, Image, and Mocha start their early morning rounds of crying and whining for something to eat. She yawned quietly, her little pink tongue rolled out of her muzzle. "Guys, quit whining, we already had a big meal last night remember?" She doubted whether any of her siblings heard her with all the ruckus, mostly Ghost and Mocha were making. Since they were the largest, they made more noise. Kalani rolled her eyes annoyed, and ran over to her mom and dad who were eating.
-Ghost-
Ghost whimpered and howled, "Mom! I want food! I'm hungry!" He barked, his vocal chords were now fully developed, and he couldn't wait to use them. Unfortunately, it was quite aggravating to his fellow siblings. Which started a fight when Image jumped on top of him. "Hey!" Ghost growled and fought back.

Bullet smiled as Lacey licked her ear. He licked her ear back and grinned. His attention turned to his little pups once again. He looked at Kalani who went up to them and sat quietly. "That's my polite little girl." He said smiling and giving her a chunk of meat. He waited for the rest of his pups to come over to get their's. Bullet looked at the pups who were wrestling. He picked Ghost up and brought him over to the food. "Alright my little man here is some food." He gave Ghost a chunk of food. Then gave Image and Mocha some.
-Image-
The door was open and he was full and drank some water. He walked out the door for the first time in his 3 month life. He walked down the hall and looked at all the doors. Wow. He tried to walk down the stairs but he tripped and as he tumbled down his body started to hurt. He yapped so loud it echoed across the walls.

Lacey jerked up as she finished eating, she saw Image walking out of the door. She figured him going out of the now kind of stuffy room would do no harm but she was still unsure. "Image, be careful dear." She got up as he kept walking and didn't answer, being protective and curious at the same time, she crept behind him. As he went down the stairs she gasped as he started to tumble down. "Image!" She barked as she heard his loud yelp in pain, she raced down to the bottom of the stair and saw him on his shoulders looking up at her with his little rump upwards. Lacey grabbed him by the scruff and ran up to the bed and went on it. She placed him there and started to lick him, she didn't know what to say, she knew he wasn't going to obey her if she told him never to do that again in his later years to come because of him being infected. She sighed and continued licking the spots that hurt him.
-Kalani-
Kalani's head raised up immediately as she heard Image yelp, she ran to the top of the stairs, joined by Ghost and Mocha, they looked down at him with mom, she stepped out of the way and trailed after them. "Is Image okay dad?"

Bullet was stunned by what just happend. "Your brother will be fine." He was so worried. He brought the pups into the room where hi pup laid down on the bed. His eyes were closed and he wasn't moving.
-Image-
He was numb and couldn't feel his body. He drifted into deep dreams of his future as he lay unconscious he dreamed of having pups and a beautiful mate. Him being a noble leader of his own pack or being a beta male. He couldn't move or open his eyes but he could do way more in his dreams. He saw light. It was amazingly bright. He walked towards it, his heart racing and his eyes shuttering at the brightness of it. He walked to it.
-Mocha-
Mocha cried. "BRING HIM BACK PLEASE! IS HE DEAD OR ALIVE??!!! IS HE OK??!!" She said screaming and crying.
-Bullet-
Bullet pulled his crying kids out of the room and his heart ached and so did the rest of his body. "He is going to be fine." He said trying to reasure himself and the kids. He was losing his kid. He went back to the room and whispered to Image "Don't go towards the light. Don't." He said frowning.

Lacey whimpered and nudged him again, "Come back Image, don't go forward." She whispered in his tiny flopped ear, a small tear rolled down her muzzle and onto her nose, dripping down onto Image's fluffy soft fur. She listened to her pups crying outside the door, they seemed as devastated as she was about what had happened, she turned to see her mate beside her, he must have been as sad as she was also, loosing a pup in less than a second... and it was all her to blame, she knew she should have picked Image up before he even got to the stairs. "It's my fault." She mumbled to herself. Her heart felt like it would sink into the floor. 'I killed my own son.' She thought.
-Kalani-
Kalani whined, she wanted to know what had happened to her brother, was he dead? Or was he just injured? Questions about the matter ran through her mind as she barked and howled, trying to get her mom and dad to open the door.

Bullet looked at her with a serious look. "No. You didn't. I opened the door and it was my fault." He licked his pup and nuzzled his ear. It flopped and fell back down. Bullet ignored the door and looked at his pup.

Voices were saying to turn around but he couldn't stop. He barked and barked. "I wanna leave. HELP HELP!" His paws moved forward he looked back and pushed back. His body turned and he went to the darkness. He was now slowly opening his eyes and saw his mom and dad. He whispered "Mom....Dad.....I can't feel my body." He said whimpering and looking down at his paw. He broke his paw as it was dangling. He yapped and held on the his dad.
-Bullet-
Bullet laughed and cried. Too many close calls. He sighed and brought his puppy to a table. He got a bandage and rapped it around Image.

Lacey's whole face brightened as she watched Image twitch a little bit, she wanted to howl and bark and run in circles as she did when Bullet took her on a special date. She still wanted to stay calm, her heart melted as she heard his little voice. She knew there would be many near death situations that Image would get himself into, that was just him. Lacey followed as Bullet carried Image over to the table to bandage him up, her heart was still thumping like crazy from the close call. "Is he alright?" She asked, nudging Bullet.
-Kalani-
Kalani scratched at the door, whimpering to see Image, "I know we can get in there somehow." She howled. Then suddenly, she had a great idea. 'Digging.' the thought popped into her head rapidly, she had gotten digging practice by ruffling up the sheets on the bed. The floor outside the closed door was rug, so they could possibly do it if they worked together. "Ghost, tell them to dig, all of us are going to dig our way in there." She told him.
-Ghost-
Ghost listened intently to Kalani as she gave the instructions. He knew she told him because he was the only one who could speak over the ruckus of Mocha's barking. "Alright! Everyone listen up! We are going to dig into the room okay?" He howled, then started to scratch up the rug along with Kalani.

Bullet looked concerned. "Well sorta. He broke his paw." Looking at his dangling paw. His pup was tough and wasn't crying but he was yapping.
-Mocha-
Mocha joined in and shut up. She dug at the carpet. She fit her head through the hole and said "Ok, come on." She crawled through and let the others come in too.
-Image-
Image smiled as his mom howled for joy. He laughed and then made a bad face. "Ow." His paw kept throbbing so Bullet got some bandages some wood. He held the wood together with his paws and tied the bandage around. Image smiled and got up. He limped but he would be fine in a month or so. Image hobbled off the bed and went into the living room.
-Bullet-
Bullet watched as all the pups came through and said "Who let you in?" He licked them and brought them to Image where they questioned him.

Lacey watched carefully as Bullet wrapped the wood and bandage around Image's broken paw, she wanted to know exactly how to treat it in case it happened when he wasn't home. Her ears pricked backwards as she heard scruffling at the door, she quickly turned her head to see her pups wriggling in from underneath the door. She laughed, yet she was quite impressed that they found a way in, they had the Doberman's strength and the Border Collie's smarts.
-Kalani-
Kalani smiled proudly as her and her siblings came in the room, her plan had worked, she did a little victory howl as her dad licked her.
-Ghost-
Ghost panted heavily as he squeezed through the door, he was very muscular and bulky, so he had a hard time getting through, but he had made it. "We did it!" He barked as he joined Kalani's howl.

Bullet laughed at his children and said "Okay pups how bout i take ya outside for once. A hunt would be fun with my family." He grinned and looked at Lacey for agreement.
-Image-
"Yea! Yea! Yea!" He jumped around on his 3 paws and head butted Ghost. He grinned and walked out the door.
-Mocha-
"Okay. I'll follow whoever is first." She smiled and puffed out her chest. She trotted out the door along with Image and made sure he didn't reach the stairs first.
-Bullet-
Bullet ran up to his two pups and picked them both up and walked down the stairs. He smiled and knew he couldn't get anymore pups hurt.

Lacey looked at her mate warily, not sure if they should take them out, but after a moment she just shrugged, "Why not?" She answered, laughing at her pups eagerness to get outdoors. She got up and picked up the slightly heavy and squirming Ghost, she knew she didn't have to carry Kalani until they got to the stairs, Kalani was always such a good and obedient little girl.
-Ghost-
Ghost struggled to get free and run on his own to impress his dad and show him he could go downstairs on his own. But his mom wasn't helping, "Moooom, let me go!" He howled as he dangled by his scruff from his mom's mouth. He just gave up as they all went down the stairs.
-Kalani-
Kalani looked up at her mom and smiled, glad she let her walk by herself all the way to the stairs. When she was picked up she looked around, "Wow, I'm really tall!" She sniffed the air as she was being carried, she could sense they were almost outside, her heart thumped in amazement as they stepped out the door and into the sunlight.

Bullet laughed and nodded at Lacey. "Lets go kids." he smiled and walked the kids down the stairs. Bullet nudged Ghost as he complained and said "Chill out kiddo. Take it easy." He gave him a serious look. He licked Kalani and laughed. I couldn't feel any better then this in life.
-Image-
Image got carried by his dad outside. Bullet put Image down and let him walk outside. Image ran around and barked. "This is so cool." I wanna hunt now
-Mocha-
She jumped as the rough concrete hit her paws. She grinned and jumped around next to her brother and laughed "This is sooooooooo cool. I'm having fun jumping around." She looked up at the others and motioned them to come over. This is the life!

Lacey chuckled and put down Ghost and Kalani, "Hehe, go on, have fun you little rascals." She nudged their little bottoms and they scampered away into the tall grass. Lacey jumped onto a nearby box and sat down, she watched proudly over her little ones, keeping a good look out for any predators.
-Kalani-
"Hey mom look at me mom!" Kalani barked as she jumped and rolled in the lush green grass. It was a new experience, but she jumped right into it, she decided she was going to love the outdoors, and spend most of her time in it. She turned to see Ghost sitting in the front door stalk still and shaking. "Hey Ghost, whats wrong? Come on out!" She didn't wait for him to answer, she hopped away and joined Mocha in her exploring.
-Ghost-
Ghost was petrified at the openness of this whole new and green world. Come on Ghost, your the toughest of them all, you can do this. He shook off and jumped into the grass, he stood there for a second, but did a little yip of bravery and hopped over to Image and started a play fight.

Bullet laughed and watched his children play but Ghost stood at the door still. "Hey bud. Come on, lets play in the field." He smiled hitting his sons head with his paw playfully. His son nodded and ran into the field. He jumped on Image playfully and Bullet said "Watch out! Your brothers hurt!" He was acting cautious.
-Image-
Image laughed as his brother jumped on him. Image used his cast to hit his brother with and bit him whenever he could. They both giggled I love my brother Image thought.
-Mocha-
Mocha explored with her sister Kalani. She whispered to her sister "Look, a bunny. We eat those!" She crept up on it then yanked its tail. She pulled it back and bit it. It died instantly and Mocha felt great. She carried it to her parents and laid it down "ARE YA PROUND OF ME MA AND PA? ME AND KALANI CAUGHT IT TOGETHER!" She licked her sisters face and smiled at her parents.

Lacey chuckled as little Mocha sneak attacked the rabbit. Quite unusual for a puppy, but nevertheless, she was proud and walked over to them to lick them. She knew it was all Mocha, but she was overjoyed that she gave credit to Kalani too.
-Ghost-
Ghost smirked he jumped on Image, Image flipped on his back to crush Ghost, but Ghost just scrambled out and bit Image's scruff playfully. "Grrr!"
-Kalani-
Kalani was distracted at the moment, she was looking around and exploring the different things there were to see in the outdoors. "Hey Mocha, check this out!" She howled as she was batting a dandelion with her little paw.
