DEFORMITIES Suffers from epilepsy. This was caused from the various sever blows to the head from his master. The disease causes Hugo to randomly space out, smell odors that aren't actually there, and extreme emotional changes. These "spells" can last anywhere from fifteen seconds to an hour, sometimes even longer. During his longer spells he will appear to be chewing almost constantly and is on a mission to find something; he also rarely talks and is rather harsh. The funny thing is, when he recovers Hugo has no memory of anything that happened and continues from where he left off (which can be problematic at times).
PERSONALITY Surprisingly enough, this overly abused boy is loving and loyal to a fault. No matter how cruel you are to him, he will always do his best to protect you and stand by your side. You can even try to kill him and he will continue to forgive you, making up lies and excuses for why you were so cruel to him.
Hugo likes when people limit him, it gives him structure and discipline; while making it so he doesn't have to make any decisions himself. If left to decide on anything he freezes in fear, this is because when he was growing up making his own decisions got him beat bad (just because he loves his master, doesn't mean he loves his violence).
Hugo will do anything in his power to help others, however, he rarely fights for anything or anyone. It takes a great deal of love to get him to fight for your safety; but once you have it he will give his life for you.
Sadly, he is still waiting for his abusive master to return and hates himself for not being able to protect him.

HI I'M HUGO AND THIS IS MY PAST:
His childhood wasn't a pretty one, the moment he was born his master tried to kill him. No matter how long he was left under the water he simply would not drown. After an hour of trying to kill the newborn pup his master gave up and decided Hugo would be his new victim.
From that point on, instead of beating Hugo's mother he beat that small pup. Most would of grown to hate their abusive master, but Hugo loved his master. For one and a half years he took the beatings for both his mother and himself; being the plug for all of his master's emotional problems.
Starved and beaten Hugo was becoming weaker every day, he simply wasn't able to keep up with everything his master asked him to do. Angry and frustrated, his master beat and killed Hugo's mother right in front of his very eyes. Hugo had been chained up, and was unable to protect his mother. A wave of anger swept over Hugo and he turned vicious; this was the start of his fighting days.
For two years Hugo was forced to fight other dogs. The reward for winning was more fighting, and the punishment for losing was more beatings. He pushed himself hard, hoping to impress his master but after an encounter with a large pitbull in the ring, he was unable to fight anymore.
Instead of throwing Hugo away his master tied him up outside, only returning to his dog to beat him and throw him scraps of food when he felt 'sorry' for the poor helpless creature (which wasn't too often). After a year of this, his master stopped returning.
All Hugo could do was sit and wait, hoping his master would return for him. The only thought he had was that he did something so wrong his master no longer loved him. He waited for as long as his body would let him, but he grew so hungry and weak he could not wait any longer.
It didn't take him much effort to bite through the rope that was around his neck, or to find scraps of food that the other animals had left on the sidewalks. A few weeks after his master left he then learned that all masters had left.
Ever since then he's been waiting for his master to return.
