Fond memories of Dane Avenue could nearly bring the shepherd to tears. These streets held all to familiar smells. But what it didn't have was the same luster and quaint environment it used to have. This is where the masses would congregate for everything and anything. Some people would have early morning breakfasts in front of the coffee shops as the sun would just kiss the horizon. While others would spend wild nights on the town, bar hopping as the humans would call it.
But some others would spend their lives living on this very street. Scrounging for decent left overs from yesterday's waste. Hoping the next day would be better than the next. Amour used to be one of those as a 6 month old pup. Befriending the homeless and hungry in hopes of finding a morsel to feed herself for the next day or so. The memories hurt so bad that it felt good. Odd enough but this place was her home. Where her friends resided, where she grew up.
Amour sighed deep with regret and gathered herself. She stretched and sprawled herself out into a comfortable position and just laid on the broken asphalt. Breathing in and out slowly, her memories began flowing back like a heavy rainstorm.

Damon quickly padded through the streets of his old home town, black and white memories rushing through his mind. Everything that happened here was a nightmare. And he'd rather forget it. The muscular body of the German shepherd carried him through the town, and towards a small apartment buildings near the outskirts of town. His eyes led him to the crooked and bent sign of 'Dane Aveemue.' Well, that's what it looked like now. He sighed heavily and looked around for someone to talk to. Maybe he would even find an interesting girl. Unusually in his case, they took in the outside before the inside. bad idea.
Damon carefully took in the sight of the broken down houses, shivers repeatedly going down his spine. This is where humans once lived. The creatures that would never be able to understand life in a dog's point of view. He yawned, showing that his concern for this part of town was weak, and yet, he stayed loyal to it. His giant paws clicked on the sidewalk that came up to a small, cramped building. But for Damon, it would be his resting spot for the night.
