I've noticed that alot of members are NOT using stock images. If they are copyrighted, they cannot be used at ALL. Regardless. If you do not have permission to use the images, you cannot. you must go to either deviantart.com or flickr.com under the CREATIVE COMMONS license. If you have copyrighted images now, please find some new ones that are NOT copyrighted. Using copyrighted images could get Gensis into a lot of trouble. I do not want my site shut down for people using copyrighted pics.

No google is potentially copyrighted. members need to go to the designated sites for stock images.

Editing an image off of google is most likely copyrighted (unless you get it from shutterstock, deviantart stock or flickr under the CC license). Editing a copyrighted image could earn you a court case if the owner pressed charges. Also, the site would but shut down without notice from proboards.

Yeah. Im using devaintart ones that aren't copywrited. Anything not found in the stock section of DeviantArt (no matter what the artist says) is copywrite protected by DA. Lemme give an example. THIS image of a wolf was found in the photography section. It carries a copyright from DA. It may NOT be used as is OR edited. it may not be used at all. THIS wolf was found in the resources and stock section. Even though it is not copyrighted, you must follow the rules the provider has put out.

Bing, Yahoo and any other search engine are the same rules as google.
To tell if an image is copywrited, look through the site to see if they provide stock images. This is very rare though so it's safest to just use the methods listed above.

k. thx. but i clicked on the links to flickr and deviantART and i cant find whatever the creative commons thing is... is it a certain area, list, or section...? Deviantart is the easiest to use. In the side bar there is an area called "resources and stock". click this then search.
