Breeze sauntered in, her cracked and toughened pads on her paws kicked up a few dirt clouds behind her, as she entered the grubby junkyard. Flashes of her past swam into her mind as her sense of smell triggered memories, she wished to put behind her. She shook her fur out, both for releasing the thin layer of dirt and recently shed fur; Breeze continued on, her long sturdy legs were beginning to tire. She wished to find a safe place to retire for a few moments before returning to exploring the rest of the town, and expected there would be other dogs roaming the streets, which she wished to avoid at the moment until her strength returned. The wind blew through a rusty car’s windowless door, which was hanging wide open, making it sound like a low and soft whistle. Breeze’s ears swiveled as they perked, she lifted her head from where it was currently sniffing the dirt clad floor and stared at the car. Sure she had come upon a vehicle before, but she knew how dangerous they could be. She raised her tail and raised her head even higher, as she circled the car, her nose twitching rapidly, when she sniffed in its direction. Rust, garbage, cats, dogs, humans, and food were the scents that fell onto her nose in different waves, though most of the odors were faint; they each had a story to tell. Breeze only needed the car for shelter and a place to rest, she didn’t need or want a story so once she concluded it was safe she promptly jumped into the front seat, before settling down by turning in tight circles and laying down with a small huff. She closed her eyes, but kept her ears active and alert by pivoting her ears in new directions every few minutes, and her nose alive by have it fidget around.

ACEQuickly but quietly, the young Aussie padded down near the forgotten junkyard, all to those but a few. To him, the junkyard held memories, painful and joyful. His ears lay back, wind softly touching them as it blew the warning of a storm coming. Great. Just what he needed. When it rains, it pours. Ace hurriedly looked around for the gate entrance, although he could really squeeze through the fence wires... not an option...that would scratch him, leaving sores to get better in time, and time was not a thing he had in plentiful. When Ace found the small gated pathway, he led himself towards a broken, sideways car. By that time, rain had begun to fall, and drops began pelting his nose, leaving little damp spots. Once underneath the large truck, be spotted another car not to far away from his, and could barely make out another figure...of a dog! Another dog, in the junkyard! Excited and protective at the same time, Ace could barely contain himself. He shook off the remaining water that his fur was absorbing, and yawned helplessly. If it was another dog, it didn't have much time before he knew it could come out. Very soon. Indeed, he could smell it's energy.

Breeze had been resting in the truck for a while, but not getting much sleep, on account with her activity level. Her ears suddenly perked up to the distant sound of flapping and spattering noises hitting the beaten up car. Cocking her head at the sudden enlightenment that another creature was nearby, she slowly unfolded her paws from underneath her and rose up, unsure what to make of the situation, she peered out the window to see what it was. It was a dog, getting a whiff of the air a little, she presumed it was a male, and...With the same coat color? 'Another Aussie?' She thought, tilting her head to the side even more, her head position making her neck hurt quite a bit, she straightened out. Not many of the same breed appeared very often in Genesis, the larger population of dogs was German Shepherds, and a lot of them at that, but she hadn't seen much multiplying in the past few days, maybe they had left or something. Breeze looked around, just incase the dog had planned an ambush on her, seeing no other canines lurking around, she started to gnaw at the car handle to make the rusty car door open. After chewing it for about 30 seconds, she jerked back and yelped, frightened as the door bursted open. She slowly crawled to the seat closest to the open door and hopped out of the car. Still facing the male Aussie, she wanted to run away, but something inside her told her to go forward. She trusted her instincts most of the time, she decided this would be no different. Walking forward hesitantly, she could the crunch of dead leaves under her paws, a couple feet away from him, she sat down. Looking down at her paws she began to speak. "Hello." Her little shy voice peeped out of her, being more of the shy type at first, she wasn't one for jumping into new situations just like that. She looked him over, they were almost identical twins when seen from afar, but each Aussie's coat is different if one is to look closely. A clear difference was that she had a tail, born a stray, her tail was never cropped. Breeze smiled as she looked at him, he was quite the handsome dog, a charming look to him, penetrating blue eyes. Whatever was his best trait, she liked this male, she looked behind her and then at her coat, just to make sure she looked nice. Then turned back to him, "I'm Breeze, she smiled.

I wanna celebrate and live my life, sayin' aaoo, baby let's go..."Ace carefully watched the female approach him, he froze, allowing her to make whatever move she felt comfortable with. His ears pricked as she spoke, clearly not the best of dog to be speaking. Surely she was not another Aussie... WAs she? There were hardly any other breeds rather than Border collies, Shepherds, and just plain ol' mutts. He stepped out and cleared his throat, getting a better view of the female. She was an Aussie no doubt, but her tail had not been cropped, and her fur was the dull color mixed with the lighter colors, those of a stray. How did Ace know this? He didn't. He learned it from his year in a house. He smiled at her, stood tall and eager to introduce himself. "Hello Breeze, nice to meet you. I'm Ace, the 'alpha' you could say of this junkyard. " he paused. Yes! Today was Friday!! It was the day that all his friends and homies came over to party and hang out. It was awesome. "Tell me, my dear, are you planning to stay a while?" he asked, a sly smirk crossing the Dog's handsome face. His icy blue eyes lit up as he watched her expression, hoping she was say yes.

Breeze listened intently as the male spoke in his crisp, yet soft vocal tone. 'Ace, that name fits him just right.' She thought to herself. "Nice to meet you too." But whats this, a party? Needless to say, Breeze was a bit surprised. A good-looking, and even for an Alpha dog like him to invite a scrawny fea like her to a party? Nope didn't match at all in her mind, but ofcourse, she was completely overjoyed that he did so. "Well, I don't have anywhere else to go. So why not?" She answered, a half smile formed on her face. Seeing Ace smirk, she wondered what he was planning to do. Normally, being a flirt was part of her little ritual when around males once she got to know them, in this case she had only known him for about 20 minutes or so. Nevertheless, that was long enough for her. "What are you up to hot-shot?" She asked, the same expression now coming on her face as well, staring into his ice blue eyes, she lifted a brow.

As comfortable as Ace was with his idea, the female's expression had given him otherwise. She was cute, no doubt about that, but he worried about the other females that were planning to come... Just to see him. Sure, Ace was pretty much like the main guy the girls flirted with, and if they found out that he had brought Breeze, there were going to be fits. And temper. Eh, who cared. It wasnt like he was dating her, gosh. Ace would hang around with his guy friends for the party anyways. He raised an eyebrow at her, the words 'hotshot' were used often to describe him, and he enjoyed the attention.
His looks were flattering mixed with his attitude, and attention was one of the main things he loved. "Eh, it ain't nothin'. Hey, how 'bout we go see if ol' charlie's got some leftovers he can spare to a few friends, huh? You like fresh hotdogs, doll?" he flirted, making his way towards the gate. His ears pricked when he heard the soft but steady sound of the old town clock, it was 5 'o clock pm. He was due back here at 8, pfft, they had plenty of time.

Breeze's ears leaned a back as she parted her jaws and yawned, her almost pure white teeth showing and reflecting in the afternoon sunlight. Her previous expression still on her light colored face, "I think I can make room for that." She winked, her ears pivoted at the familiar sound of the town clock, she loved that sound, it was music to her furry little ears. She trotted over to Ace with a skip in her step, but still trying to look civilized, she kept a steady pace as they walked out of the gate entrance, looking every now and then at him with a flirt kind of look on her face. Nothing felt better than to have someone by her side, she hadn't had any kind of walk with anyone in about 2 whole days, which was a lot for her social self. Most of the time she would have a friend with her, or possibly a male, but her friend was recently captured by a very sick looking dog catcher, come to think of it, most of the very few humans she saw were sick, coughing and wheezing with almost every breath. They were all dying, for a reason she didn't know, she heard most dogs saying it was something called 'Toy Soldier' not that she had found out what it meant, what with her being out in the western and northern country a lot. "So who is this Charlie your talking about. I hope your not visiting dead guys hun." She nudged him with her shoulder, a little laugh erupting from her throat as she mentioned the last part. She used to watch movies with her old human family, the one she was speaking of to be exact, All Dogs Go To Heaven, was one of her favorites.

Ace chuckled, lifting an eyebrow as he glanced her way. "You doubt me, don't you Breeze? Yes of course, he's alive and well.. And he is the butcher. he explained, padding out towards the street, and crossed without looking. these days no one was on the road, and the streets were over grown with weeds, the lights were just blinking on red. His fur gently whistled in the slight wind and his fur glimmered in the sunlight as his legs carried him over to a little shopping mall. The smell of the bucher's shop whispered to his senses, his stomach growling, making his claws dig into the ground, his stomach groaning with hunger.

Breeze rolled her eyes and smiled, she slowed down a bit as they came to a cute little butcher shop. She walked in with Ace, the sweet and fresh scent of all kinds of meat, beef, chicken, lamb, ect. filled her nostrils. Immediately hearing the low rumble coming from her, she sat down with one paw over her skinny stomach, her long silky fur covering her paw as she looked over to him, hoping he hadn't noticed. Her ears pricked as she heard a loud wet cough coming from the front counter, she turned to looking above her at yet, another sick human, the butcher to be exact. He was rather overweight, a white base colored, but dirty overalls, either way, she liked him, he looked like a nice man. Nevertheless, he was sick, and probably would die off as well as all the other humans. Looking back to Ace, Breeze lifted her eyebrows, wondering what he was going to do to get the meat.

When they walked into the store, the the man immediately lightened up and his attitude brightned. "Acey, my boy!!" he exclaimed, a grin escaping his lips. Ace chuckled as the man approached him with a big smile. He bent down and petted the brute, gently ruffling his ears. Ace panted heavily, it felt so nice to have someone scratch that certain spots. He sighed, hoping one day to have a mate that could reach that right spot... But he just hadn't found the one. The man stroked his beard when he saw the female Aussie behind him. A sly smile spread across his face. "Ahhh... I see you have brought a gir wiff you, eh? Ahh, I can see that we fix somethin' special up for you my friend, right away!"
Ace smirked and lifted an eyebrow as he looked back at her. Piece of cake. What was she so worried about? This guy loved him, and especially when he came for long visits. Even though he was sick, Ace enjoyed his occasional visits here. Play, he always got fresh food. Sitting down with a satisfied look, Ace couldn't be happier. He was starving, and Charlie always knew the best. Always. And Ace could count on him.

As the liquid fell from the sky, her eyes narrowed and a light growl escaped from between her jaws. As much as she loved rain, right now was not the time for it to be falling. She had followed another female Aussie for a while and now waited to see if she came back out of the junkyard. She didn't have to wait very long.
Maze was taken aback for a moment when not just the female wandered out, but a male did too. A male Aussie. She was slightly surprised by the sight. Not many Aussies roamed around the streets here. She had hardly ran into any until now.
Not wanting to loose the pair, as they could lead her somewhere that would benefit her, she slowly trotted after them. She kept to the shadows and low to the ground to reduce the risk of them seeing her. The rain, which she had been mad at just moments before, ended up helping her a lot. The sound of the pitter patter drowned out the almost unheard paw steps she made and made her scent impossible to detect.
She froze outside the butcher shop as the pair wandered in. The sent of different meats hit her nose as she peered around into it. She was appalled when she saw the male letting the sickly human touch him. It was just wrong. Maze would never let a stinking human lay its hands on her. Huffing, she shouldered her away into the store and stopped behind the pair. When the male turned to look at the other female, she let out a growl to warn them she was there and they shouldn't mess with her..

Breeze smiled warmly and chuckled as she watched Charlie petted Ace, she always knew the bond between people and dogs was mystical, seeing him and Ace together made her miss her own human, Alex. A tiny whimper escaped from her muzzle as she watched the man praise him. She remembered lying in bed with her master, saying goodbye, and watching him close his eyes, for the last time. Looking at how much this Charlie enjoyed Ace's company, she wished Alex was by her side again, knowing that would never happen, she shook her head to shove the thought aside. She tilted her head and lifted a paw as Charlie mentioned a girl. Looking around quickly to see if there were any other feas around, she realized he was talking about her. She turned and looked at Ace, her tail gave a quick wag as she started to watch the butcher again as he went into his kitchen to get something. Bored, she looked behind her to see if there was anything to watch to entertain her, and noticed yet, one more Aussie? 'Wow, there are a lot of our breed here.' She thought to herself, the female let out a little growl, Breeze pulled her head back, not frightened, but just a bit surprised there was an Aussie sitting behind her. Not being the type to make a good comeback, she greeted the so called stalker. "Hello there." She said cheerfully.

Ace sat patiently for the man to return. His ears swiveled around, picking up more talk and movements. He turnEd around, and saw that there was another Aussie. Another one? Gee wiz. Ace cocked his head, confused that the fact of three same breeds in the same place without noticing-wait. Ace knew her. She came to his parties. Her name was Maze...:. Oh boy. Was he sure in trouble. Quickly he jumped up, just as the same time as the butcher came out with his surprise, which happenEd to be a long roll of steak with dressings. Ace smiled and took it happily. With steak on his mouth, he chose not to talk but to guide Breeze away from Maze with his eye contact and body language. He glared at Breeze, motioning for her to follow him. He was actually glad he couldn't talk at the moment, or else he would have to answer from Maze.

Breeze glanced at the female Aussie, then back at Ace, she wondered why he wanted to leave, it was only another dog. Whatever the matter, she did what he said and walked beside him as they left the butcher shop. She didn't want to bother Ace with questions that she had many of, they still knew each other only for 20 minutes, and she didn't want to lose the handsome devil now. So she trotted away with him, her tail waving slowly, she fell behind as she watched a cat eye her from a window. Her lips curled as she let out a low growl, "Watch it kitty." She muttered as she warily walked away proudly to catch up to Ace, her head held moderately high. She thought of that Aussie fea, was she still trailing behind them? Did she just give up and walk away? Or did she stay at the shop and have meat? The female did growl at them, that showed a sign of pride, but she still wasn't sure. "Hey Ace, you know who that was?" She asked curiously.
